It’s been a while, but is time for a quick (and long awaited) number update.

Cargill secured a matching gift that was larger than expected. Cargill's gift tops off the Fill the Dome Campaign numbers to be:

101 Tons of Food
$110,000

We are thankful for their gift, which totaled $14,000 after a local match and a corporate match. Thanks again to all of our sponsors and supporters who helped make Fill The Dome 2009 a smashing success!

It’s late Monday night (now Tuesday morning) and we have our final tallies:

‣ 97.1 tons of food that came in and out of the Fargodome.
‣ $96,000 (and counting) thanks to our sponsors and private donors
‣ Over 2,800 people who have signed their name, acknowledging hunger is an issue in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

If you have not had the opportunity to sign our petition or donate, please do that with the buttons on the top right of this page. As we get more results from our work they will be posted on our main page, including a time-lapse video of this year’s Fill The Dome project, which we hope to have up sometime Tuesday night.

We are less than a day away from Fill The Dome and have one element of our project that sill needs work- our online petition. We need 7,500 signatures and presently only have 1500.

Signing this signature means you are aware of the hunger problem in Fargo-Moorhead and want to see something done about it. This could potentially be take to North Dakota and Minnesota Legislatures for a possible bill down the road.

So we ask you in our final countdown to please sign the petition- it only takes a minute of your time and will get us one step closer to solving hunger in Fargo-Moorhead.
